We love Blue Moon Turquoise, and not just because of the romantic name. This is a dark matrix-rich Turquoise that takes a good polish. The Blue Moon Mine in Nevada has produced Turquoise ranging from very pale blue to incredibly dark, stuff chalk to hard. This is the dark blue black matrix Turquoise that people hope to find from the Blue Moon mine. Blue Moon has never reached the legendary status that some other erratically mined Nevada Turquoise sites have, partially because while Blue Moon has never been a volume producer it has produced an extraordinarily wide variety of colors and qualities. These Blue Moon rondells feature all natural Turquoise –higher quality Blue Moon Turquoise does not require stabilization– with the irregular spiderweb black matrix that makes each piece unique. The beads are an even handcut 8mm rondell. A great shape for a wide variety of custom designs. All natural. Processed and cut in the United States. Mix with gold for a classic collar.
